Catherine Chen

Catherine leads Cathay Innovation’s technology efforts from Paris, overseeing IT, cybersecurity, data, CRM, and AI initiatives that strengthen operations and drive innovation. She joined in 2021 with a distinctive blend of strategic finance experience and data science skills.

Previously, she held key roles in the banking sector, including Analyst in Acquisition Finance at Société Générale APAC in Hong Kong and Senior Inspector at Groupe BPCE’s Inspection Générale. She later transitioned into data science, completing the Le Wagon bootcamp and volunteering as a Teaching Assistant with Data for Good.

Driven by a passion for AI and emerging technologies, Catherine helps teams leverage data to create value and streamline workflows.

She holds an MSc in Management (Finance) from Emlyon Business School, completed an exchange at WHU — Otto Beisheim School of Management, and earned a certification in Artificial Intelligence from Le Wagon.

Outside of work, she expresses her creativity through piano, photography, and painting — and fuels her competitive spirit through dragon boat racing.
