Federico Gómez Romero

Federico Gómez Romero leads the Cathay Latam fund, based in Mexico City. Before joining Cathay Innovation, he was a Senior Investment Officer at Accion Venture Lab, where he led investment efforts across Latin America, developed new investment theses, and served on multiple boards.

Earlier in his career, Federico co-founded Credility, a leading SME lending platform in Argentina, along with several other startups. He also worked in investment banking at MBA Lazard, advising on major M&A and project finance transactions across the region.

He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA).
