Jing Zhao

Jing is a Partner of the Cathay Smart Energy Fund, based in Shanghai, with over a decade of experience in energy investment. Before joining Cathay in 2019, he spent nearly ten years at TotalEnergies in France, holding several roles including Principal for the Total Ventures Asia investment platform, gas and CO2 R&D project manager, and positions related to natural gas processing.

Prior to TotalEnergies, Jing spent three years as a research engineer at Arkema, a specialty chemicals and advanced materials company.
He holds an engineering degree and a PhD in chemical engineering from ENSIC in France.
