Katharina Schild

Katharina Schild is a Vice President at Cathay Innovation, based in Berlin, where she focuses on the firm’s activities across DACH. She joined in August 2025, bringing a blend of strategic, operational, and investing experience across multiple industries and geographies.

Before Cathay Innovation, Katharina held senior roles in corporate development and strategic innovation, including VP of Strategy at ProSiebenSat.1, where she led investment and value-creation initiatives, and Chief of Staff at Allianz Global Investors, supporting strategic initiatives across global operations. She also gained investing experience at Danone Ventures in New York and worked hands-on across M&A, post-merger integration, restructuring, marketing, IT system integrations, and operational execution.

Drawn to venture capital by the intellectual challenge and versatility of the work, Katharina likes collaborating closely with founders, staying ahead of market trends, and translating ambitious ideas into scalable, high-impact businesses. She is particularly passionate about the DACH region and its thriving startup ecosystems.

Outside of work, Katharina enjoys engaging in communities, staying active outdoors — from running and hiking to skiing and golf — and exploring new culinary experiences. Having lived and worked in London, Boston, New York, and now Berlin, she values intercultural exchange and collaborative environments.
