Matthieu Soulé

Matthieu leads C.Lab, Cathay Innovation’s strategic advisory arm dedicated to helping corporations embrace open innovation. Based in San Francisco, he partners with global leaders to design and execute strategies that bridge startups, technology, and sustainability.

Previously, Matthieu served as Head of BNP Paribas’ innovation lab in San Francisco and as a U.S. Venture Partner for the Solar Impulse Venture Fund, advising global leaders in core industrial sectors. To this day, he continues to mentor founders through accelerator programs.
Passionate about fintech, climate tech, and mobility, Matthieu thrives on connecting people and scaling impactful solutions. Matthieu’s academic background includes a master’s degree from Audencia Business School, with a minor in Consulting and International Strategic Management. He has also completed the executive program from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) on sustainability in business.

Outside of work, Matthieu is an avid soccer fan and enjoys exploring the Bay Area’s hidden gems, from local coffee roasters to weekend hiking trails.
