Mi Wang

Mi is Head of Cathay Ecosystem in China, based in Shanghai. She is responsible for building and managing Cathay’s ecosystem across China, and participates in screening, evaluating, executing, and monitoring investments. She brings over 13 years of experience spanning investment, corporate strategy, business incubation, post-investment management, and strategic M&A.

Before joining Cathay, Mi was an Investment Director at PingAn Global Voyage Fund (GVF), focusing on healthcare and fintech in China while leading the post-investment management team and supporting offshore portfolio companies entering the Chinese market. Prior to GVF, she was Senior Director of Strategy and Investments for PingAn’s healthcare and fintech business units, where she built the organization’s healthcare ecosystem and incubated several businesses. She has also held roles at VIP.com, overseeing investment, corporate strategy, and business incubation, and began her career at Deloitte as a Senior M&A and Tax Adviser.

She holds a BS in Applied Mathematics from Tsinghua University and an MBA from INSEAD.
