Nie Shengdong (Eric)

Eric is an Associate at Cathay Innovation in Shanghai, focused on AI and robotics startups that are redefining industries. Since joining in March 2024, he has partnered with portfolio companies such as Galaxea AI, Vita Dynamics, and Tungee, helping founders turn cutting-edge technology into scalable businesses.

Before Cathay Innovation, Eric worked at Capital Today, supporting startups like Zhipu and Kimi (Moonshot), and at Meituan as a strategy analyst, where he developed a keen ability to spot transformative opportunities and turn them into actionable strategies.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Outside of work, Eric channels his energy into snowboarding, hiking, and basketball, and enjoys diving into a compelling book.
