Shui Hong (Noah)

Shui (Noah) is an Investment Director at Cathay Innovation in Shanghai, where he focuses on AI-driven startups — both hardware and software — and cross-border initiatives. Since joining in 2018, he has partnered with portfolio companies including Momenta, Tungee, BeatBot, and Galaxea AI, helping them bring breakthrough AI technologies to global markets, accelerate product development, and transform user experiences.

Before Cathay Innovation, Noah completed internships at investment firms including FountainVest Partners, NIO Capital, and ARDIAN (formerly AXA Private Equity), gaining hands-on experience in sourcing and evaluating early-stage tech investments.

He is particularly interested in AI applications with global potential, including embodied AI and other frontier technologies emerging from China.

Noah holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance and a master’s degree in Finance from Tsinghua University. Outside of work, he enjoys testing the latest AI gadgets, playing volleyball, and exploring new corners of the world — often with music in the background.
