Siqi Chen (Alick)

Siqi (Alick) is a Partner at Cathay Capital, based in Shanghai. Before joining Cathay, he spent over 12 years at China Development Bank (CDB), progressing from Deputy Director and Deputy Division Chief of the Client Division in the Shenzhen Branch to Acting Chief Commissioner of the Nordic Office.

At CDB, Alick built extensive experience in complex overseas financing — executing over $7B across acquisition financing, project financing, and export credit financing — as well as domestic lending for the bank’s key clients. During his time at the Nordic office, he developed strategic relationships with major Nordic enterprises including Volvo, Maersk, and Ericsson, promoting outbound investment to China and coordinating Chinese investment into the Nordic region. He is also the initiator of the China Sweden Technology and Innovation Fund.

Alick holds a master’s degree in Finance from Zhejiang University and a bachelor’s degree from Xiamen University.
