Zhiqiang Zhang (Allen)

Based in Shanghai, Allen manages full-cycle fund operations and post-investment monitoring, ensuring seamless financial tracking and data-driven insights for the firm’s European and RMB portfolios. Since joining Cathay Capital Group in 2021, he has leveraged his auditing expertise to support fund performance and create tangible value across investments.

He is particularly passionate about healthcare — especially biotech and digital health — aligning with his interest in science and backing innovation that can make a real impact. Allen has contributed to initiatives for key Cathay Capital funds such as the Sanofi Pharma Fund and the Global Innovation Funds.
Previously, Allen served as Assistant Manager at KPMG, leading auditing engagements for capital markets clients after starting his career there as an Associate in 2016.

Allen holds a master’s degree in finance from Leicester University. Outside of work, he enjoys basketball and long-distance running, his favorite ways to challenge himself and clear his mind.
