Zihan Lin (Robert)

Robert is an Associate at Cathay Innovation, based in Beijing, where he covers AI applications and AI-enabled hardware startups with the potential to disrupt global markets. Since joining in March 2023, he has supported portfolio companies such as BeatBot, a robotic pool cleaner brand that introduced the first 5-in-1 robot for pool maintenance.

Before Cathay Innovation, Robert worked at Advantech Capital, focusing on AI B2B and robotics startups in China. He helps startups scale and navigate emerging technology trends, particularly in AI and consumer electronics.

Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Peking University and a Master’s in Finance from Tsinghua University. Outside of work, he plays soccer and performs as a part-time singer in a pop-rock band.
